The OIC Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation (COMSTECH) has unveiled a research fellowship initiative aimed at students, scholars, and institutions in Mauritania.
This program is designed to enhance scientific capacity and strengthen ties between Pakistan and Mauritania.
An official source revealed that these research fellowships are part of the joint Science and Technology Capacity Building Program, launched in collaboration with Mauritania's National Agency for Scientific Research and Innovation.
As part of the COMSTECH-Mauritania Program, young researchers and early-stage scientists in Mauritania will be provided the opportunity to spend six months at centres of excellence in OIC member states, particularly in Pakistan.
These fellowships aim to build the research and development capacity of Mauritanian scholars, fostering early career linkages for continued collaboration.
In addition to this program, Mauritanian students and scholars can benefit from other initiatives offered by COMSTECH, which are regularly publicized on the organization’s website and social media platforms.
Research and development institutions in Mauritania are also encouraged to partner with COMSTECH Center of Excellence institutions, promoting knowledge exchange, technological advancement, and capacity building.
The deadline for submitting applications is December 10, with further details available on COMSTECH’s official website at https://comstech.org/comstech-mauritania-program-nov-2023/.
