Former Pakistan all-rounder Azhar Mahmood said on Wednesday that Islamabad United pacer Naseem Shah faces no injury.
Addressing a press conference in Rawalpindi following the match against Lahore Qalandars, Mahmood said: “The way Naseem is bowling upfront and backend is not easy.”
He rallied behind Hunain Shah, saying, “Hunain is one of the most promising cricketers, and he has great skills.”
Mahmood stated: “The United leaked runs in death overs as the T20 format is all about momentum.”
He expressed satisfaction over the team’s momentum despite the loss against the Qalandars, saying, “The team is moving towards betterment.”
Speaking about the conditions in Rawalpindi, Mahmood said: “You got to have wickets in hand in conditions like the Pindi Stadium. In today’s match, we lost wickets continuously. However, when Naseem Shah was playing, it seemed as if the runs would be chased.”
