The security forces eliminated 27 terrorists in an intelligence-based operation in the Kacchi District of Balochistan, dealing a significant blow to terrorist networks in the region.
According to a statement from Inter-Services Public Relations, the military's media wing, acting on credible intelligence regarding the presence of terrorists, security forces stealthily surrounded their location and launched a precision operation. An intense exchange of fire ensued, culminating in the elimination of the terrorists.
Multiple hideouts, along with caches of arms, ammunition, and explosives, were also destroyed during the operation, the statement added.
The terrorists were linked to numerous attacks on security forces and civilians and were among the most wanted by law enforcement agencies.
In the statement, security forces reaffirmed their commitment to thwart any attempts aimed at destabilizing the province, emphasizing their resolve to work alongside the nation to ensure peace and progress in Balochistan.
The national leadership commended the security forces for their successful operation. President Asif Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi paid tribute to the security forces for their valour and dedication in safeguarding the country.
In their joint statement, they emphasised the unwavering support of the nation for its brave forces in the fight against terrorism.
"The entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with its security forces in the war against terrorism," said President Zardari, reiterating the country’s commitment to eradicating the menace of terrorism. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif echoed these sentiments, vowing to continue the fight until terrorism is completely wiped out from Pakistan.
