The Indian media reports claimed that the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will follow a "fusion formula" agreed upon during discussions among all board members.
According to details, the India media, the formula, which had not been formalised in writing, was settled through mutual promises during the meeting. Under the "fusion formula", Pakistan will not travel to India to play the World Cup.
Ten matches of the Champions Trophy will take place in Pakistan, while three matches, including one semi-final and the final, will be hosted in Dubai.
Pakistan were expected to play their matches in Sri Lanka in 2026.
Indian media stated that Pakistan will gain hosting rights for an additional women’s T20 event between 2027 and 2031 under this arrangement. "This was agreed to ensure equitable participation and hosting opportunities for all members," the report said.
The official schedule for the Champions Trophy was expected to be announced within the next two days.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) sources divulged that the ICC meeting will be held tomorrow to decide further thing or two.
"Hopefully, Pakistan will win its case till tomorrow," said the PCB.
