President Asif Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday issued separate messages commemorating the 148th birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and extending greetings to the Christian community on the occasion of Christmas.
In his message, President Zardari paid glowing tributes to Quaid-e-Azam for his indomitable resolve and visionary leadership that led to the creation of Pakistan.
“Through sheer political struggle, Quaid-e-Azam changed the course of history, enabling Muslims to secure an independent homeland,” he remarked.

He acknowledged Pakistan’s significant progress in various spheres but emphasized that the journey to becoming a prosperous and just society remains ongoing. “We must work harder to uphold the values of the rule of law and strengthen our foundations as a nation,” he added.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in his message, hailed Quaid-e-Azam as a leader of extraordinary capabilities whose tireless efforts turned the dream of Pakistan into reality. “What many thought was impossible became possible due to the determination of the Father of the Nation,” the premier stated.
Highlighting Jinnah’s unwavering belief in unity, justice, and equality, the Prime Minister urged the nation to draw inspiration from his legacy. “Today, we renew our pledge to adhere to Quaid-e-Azam’s principles and work ceaselessly for Pakistan’s development, prosperity, and unity,” he added.
On the occasion of Christmas, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended warm wishes to the Christian community, acknowledging their contributions to the nation’s progress. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to safeguarding the rights of all religious communities, ensuring equality and harmony in society.
