The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on Tuesday sought time to address the Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) reservations by first week of January.
The PML-N and PPP coordination committee meeting were held during which the key developments took place regarding the power sharing agreement between the two political parties.
Meanwhile, the TORs were also decided to be implemented on the agreement. During the meeting, the PPP had also expressed its reservations in Punjab.
It was decided in the meeting that the PPP will spearhead the district development committees of Rahim Yar Khan and Multan.
The PPP said: “The PML-N should clear the air if it does not want to move forward the matters in line with the coalition government. Otherwise, we will formulate the strategy by ourselves.”
It was decided to divide the funds equally from the constituencies from which both the parties emerged victorious.
The meeting confirmed that the PPP will get representatives in the different committees at the district level.
Moreover, the PML-N had taken the PPP on board over the transfer posting.
It was emphasised in the meeting that there were no disagreements between the Punjab chief minister and provincial governor.
Prominent among those who attended the meeting from the PPP were Punjab Governor Haji Saleem Haider, Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Hassan Murtaza, Makhdoom Ahmed Mehmood, Nadeem Afzal Chan, Ali Haider Gillani.
From the PML-N, deputy prime minister Ishaq Dar, Rana Sanaullah, Punjab Assembly Speaker Malik Ahmed Khan, Azam Nazeer Tarar and Marriyum Aurangzeb attended the committee meeting.
The chief secretary, Punjab IG and C&W secretary also attended the meeting.
