The provincial government of KPK will challenge the decision of the Peshawar High Court in the Supreme Court regarding the issue of oath-taking on certain seats in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly.
The order for giving an oath to the newly elected members of the opposition parties in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly was issued by the Peshawar High Court. The provincial administration has chosen to appeal this decision in the Supreme Court.
The sources state that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet has authorized going to the Supreme Court; however, the province administration has stated that the meeting of the provincial assembly will not be called until the Supreme Court's ruling has been made.
