The Sindh government proposed on Friday a reduction of up to Rs1,000 in taxes on commercial vehicles, according to budget documents for the fiscal year 2025–26.
Additionally, the provincial government has proposed reducing the mutation and sales fees from Rs1,000 to Rs500.

On the other side, a phased plan has been announced to introduce 1,000 electric buses across the province, as part of the Sindh government’s 2025–26 budget.
According to details, this year, 500 electric buses will be launched on the roads of Karachi, for ensuring sustainable urban transport.
Additionally, the provincial government has proposed establishing charging stations for electric vehicles at public locations to support this green initiative.
