Deputy Prime Ishaq Dar briefed on Friday Japanese Foreign Minister Oya Takeshi about India's illegal action actions and unprovoked aggression, which resulted in the loss of innocent Pakistani lives, including women and children.
According to details, Dar received a telephone call from Japanese Foreign Minister Oya Takeshi, the Foreign Office spokesperson confirmed. During the call, Dar briefed his Japanese counterpart on India’s illegal actions and unprovoked aggression, which resulted in the loss of innocent Pakistani lives, including women and children.
Despite the violation of the United Nations Charter and international law, Pakistan had demonstrated restraint, said Dar. He reaffirmed the Pakistan’s commitment to protect the country’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
Foreign Minister Takeshi expressed concern over the situation in the region and conveyed his regret over the loss of civilian lives. He emphasised the importance of restraint by both sides and underscored the need for space for dialogue and diplomacy.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar held separate telephone conversations with UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy, Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide, and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, the Foreign Office announced.
Mr Dar apprised his counterparts of India’s illegal and unprovoked attacks on Pakistan, which have led to the martyrdom of civilians, including women, children, and the elderly. He stressed that despite this aggression, Pakistan has exercised restraint and remained committed to international norms and the UN Charter.
The foreign ministers of all three countries expressed sorrow over the loss of innocent lives. The British Foreign Secretary voiced concern over the escalating regional tensions and urged both sides to de-escalate.
The Norwegian Foreign Minister commended Pakistan’s restraint and emphasised the urgent need for a diplomatic resolution. He also recognised the constructive role of the Pakistani community in Norway.
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Bayramov expressed solidarity with Pakistan and offered full support, extending condolences over the loss of life and reaffirming the importance of maintaining close bilateral contact.
All three countries acknowledged Pakistan’s measured response and underscored the necessity of reducing tensions and promoting dialogue.
