Hollywood stars Zendaya and Timothée Chalamet showcased their tight-knit friendship during a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, where Chalamet spilled the beans on Zendaya's pivotal role in upgrading his first New York City apartment.
The duo's friendship blossomed in 2019 on the set of the sci-fi epic Dune, and since then, Zendaya has proven to be more than just a co-star to Chalamet. During the interview, the 28-year-old Wonka star disclosed how the 27-year-old Euphoria actress played an essential part in furnishing his Midtown Manhattan condo.
"Zendaya helped me set up my first apartment in New York years ago," Chalamet revealed, emphasizing the actress's instrumental role in adding a touch of sophistication to his living space.
Zendaya chimed in, describing the apartment's initial ambiance as having a "very teenage boy" feel. The Euphoria actress explained, "We just needed a few necessities — you know, cups and plates, knives and forks, things to clean.
We needed some structure!" Her involvement included not only the essential household items but also overseeing the apartment's overall renovation.
Chalamet confirmed the transformation, acknowledging that when Zendaya stepped in, there was a bed but no bed frame. Fellow actress Florence Pugh playfully teased him, suggesting he didn't even have a bed before Zendaya's intervention. The Hollywood duo didn't shy away from poking fun at the situation, with Zendaya stating, "We got everything he needed — all the big boy stuff."
Fans were treated to a glimpse of their friendship in action in 2020 when the pair was spotted together in a Bed Bath & Beyond. Although the exact date remains unspecified, one enthusiastic fan claimed to have encountered the Oscar nominee during their shopping spree at the Upper East Side retail chain, even managing to snap a selfie with him.
Chalamet, in a previous statement from 2022, expressed deep gratitude for Zendaya's presence in his life. He emphasized how their bond had evolved into that of siblings, stating, "I’m so grateful to count her as a partner and a sister and a friend."
