Former Punjab chief minister Parvez Elahi has been arrested yet again, moments after a judicial magistrate of Lahore ordered to release him in the Lahore Master Plan irregularities case.
This time, he has been arrested on charges of being involved in terrorism in Rawalpindi. He will be shifted to Adiala Jail, Rawalpindi from where he was released only a day ago in another case.
Earlier today, a duty judicial magistrate had ordered to release Elahi in the Lahore Master Plan irregularities case.
A judicial magistrate of Lahore has discharged a corruption case against former Punjab chief minister Parvez Elahi, and ordered to release him.
Earlier today, the anti-corruption department had presented Elahi before the court to obtain his physical remand, which was granted for a day.
Judicial Magistrate Rehanul Hassan had approved his physical remand after he was presented in the district courts, and handed over to the Punjab Anti-Corruption Establishment for a day.
The PTI president had been arrested on Saturday in a case of alleged irregularities in the Lahore Master Plan 2050.

The FIR had nominated Parvez Elahi, Moonis Elahi, Rasikh Elahi and other family members. It mentioned that in March 2021, a French company was hired as a consultant for the Master Plan.
Land measuring 600 acre in Kotla Rai Abubakar in Kasur, which belonged to the Chaudhry family, was included in the Master Plan against the advice of the French consultant.
On Saturday, the Punjab anti-corruption department had arrested former Punjab chief minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi once again from Islamabad and obtained his transit remand from a local court to shift him to Lahore.
The PTI president, who was imprisoned in Adiala Jail in a terrorism case, was re-arrested before he could be released.
After his arrest, Parvez Elahi was shifted to the judicial complex in Islamabad where they duty judge, Shahrukh Arjumand, granted his transit remand to shift him to Lahore.

The court approved Elahi’s one-day transit remand, and ordered the authorities to get his medical examination conducted and present him before the relevant court in Lahore.
On Friday, the anti-terrorism court of Islamabad had approved the bail of the former Punjab chief minister in the judicial complex attack case in exchange for a surety bond of Rs20,000.
Since his surety bond could not be submitted, his release orders were not issued.
