The latest milestone in the National Aerospace Science and Technology Park (NASTP) Silicon unfolded in Karachi on Friday with the inauguration of its second chapter.
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Syed Asim Munir graced the ceremony as the Chief Guest, lauding the Pakistan Air Force's (PAF) commendable efforts.
Gen Munir underscored the national and strategic significance of NASTP, envisioning it as a catalyst for manifold benefits.
He highlighted its potential to drive technological progress, instill self-reliance, and serve as a platform for the nation's youth and future generations.
Commending the PAF's leadership and skilled personnel, Gen Asim Munir celebrated the achievement of yet another milestone in NASTP Silicon's journey.
The Chief of Air Staff, in conjunction with the inauguration, shared a visionary outlook for NASTP to evolve into a premier Aerospace, Cyber & IT Cluster. The aim is to transform the national landscape through design, research and development, and innovation centers for emerging and disruptive technologies, ultimately reaping maximum social, economic, security, and scientific dividends for the country.
Upon his arrival, the COAS was warmly received by Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff. Subsequently, Gen Asim Munir visited Corps Headquarters Karachi, where he was briefed by the Corps Commander about operational preparedness, training initiatives, and administrative measures undertaken for the welfare of troops and the families of the fallen heroes.
