The Israeli model May Tager has been linked to luxury fashion house Dior's most recent advertising campaign after the brand allegedly replaced American-Palestinian model and brand spokesperson Bella Hadid.
Soon after, 'Boycott Dior' became popular on X' with fans bombarding the social media network with posts.
The announcement was made more than a month after Hamas operatives attacked Israel. In return, Israel has begun a massive offensive against Hamas-controlled Gaza.
How did dispute begin?
An Israeli publication picked up the news story that American-Palestinian Bella Hadid had been swapped by Israeli model May Tager by Dior after it was first published by Turkiye's Yeni Safak.
Social media users quickly got into a conversation about it and voiced their reservations about Dior's departure from Bella Hadid.
The supermodel is well-known for her outspoken advocacy of Palestinian rights and disapproval of Israeli practices. She began showcasing Dior in 2016.
The business and Bella Hadid, whose father is Palestinian, have not yet responded to reports that she is being replaced.

She was raised in the Israeli town of Ganei Tikva where her parents had relocated from Denmark, according to Ynet News.
Social media reaction
Users on X attacked the high-end fashion brand and indicated they would reevaluate their purchases from it.
"The fact that Dior still gives the wife-beater Johnny Depp a platform but cuts off ties with Bella Hadid & instead employs an is*eli despite everything that has happened this past month just tells you everything about that brand," a user commented.
"Boycott every brand under LVMH including Dior (if you have the money)," wrote another.
"Thank you @dior for letting us know what genocidal company to boycott next," another person said.
