President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Federal Minister Aleem Khan were among the prominent figures who expressed their heartfelt condolences following the passing of General Asim Munir’s mother.
The passing of the Army Chief’s mother was a moment of great sorrow, prompting an outpouring of sympathy from various political and government leaders.
In his message, President Zardari conveyed his deepest sympathies, stating, "In this moment of grief, my thoughts and condolences are with the family. I pray for the elevation of the deceased’s status and for patience and strength for the bereaved family."
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also expressed his condolences, saying, "We share in the sorrow of the grieving family. Our thoughts are with them during this difficult time."
Federal Minister for Communications, Aleem Khan, similarly expressed his deep sadness, stating, "I am deeply saddened by the passing of General Asim Munir’s mother. May Allah grant her a place in His mercy."
Further expressions of sympathy were made by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, who extended his heartfelt condolences to both General Munir and his family. "My deepest sympathies are with General Munir and his family in this time of loss," Naqvi said.
The leadership of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, led by Maulana Fazlur Rehman, also joined in sending condolences, praying for the eternal peace of the deceased and strength for the family. PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari shared his sentiments, saying, "The loss of a mother is the greatest sorrow one can endure. May Allah grant the family the strength to bear this immense grief."
Senate Chairman Yusuf Raza Gilani and National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq offered prayers for the elevation of the deceased’s soul, highlighting the irreplaceable nature of losing one's parents. "Parents are a priceless gift from Allah, and their loss is an irreparable sorrow," they stated.
Further condolences came from various political figures, including Punjab Governor, Sindh Governor, and the Chief Ministers of Punjab and Sindh, along with several members of the federal cabinet, including Khawaja Asif, Rana Sanaullah, and others.
They all expressed their solidarity with General Munir in this sorrowful time.
