Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir on Thursday highlighted the pivotal role of multinational aerial exercises in achieving shared goals and commended the Air Power Center of Excellence for the successful execution of Indus Shield 2023.
In a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), it was disclosed that General Asim Munir visited a Pakistan Air Force operational airbase.
The Army Chief's arrival was greeted with a warm welcome by Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu. Additionally, Air Chiefs from Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Hungary were also in attendance at the event.
The Army Chief received a briefing on the Air Power Center of Excellence and the exercise's extensive scope.
The military’s media wing statement further noted that the COAS observed the ongoing exercises and lauded the Air Power Center of Excellence for the effective participation of 14 allied nations in the exercise hosted by the Pakistan Air Force and the successful organization of Exercise Indus Shield 2023.
Gen Asim Munir underscored the fundamental significance of multinational air exercises in accomplishing shared objectives. He also commended the center for its integral role in preparing highly skilled and proficient air personnel.
