Indian tennis star Sania Mirza has reportedly removed the name of her ex-husband, Shoaib Malik, from her Dubai residence, replacing it with that of their son, Izhan.
This change marks a new chapter for Mirza as she finalizes the construction of her new villa, where she plans to move in with Izhan.
According to reports, the villa is nearing completion, with only final touches remaining before the relocation. Mirza, who has been living in the UAE with her son for an extended period, expressed that Izhan is now her top priority and best friend.
The move follows the end of her 14-year marriage to former Pakistan cricket captain Shoaib Malik in 2024. The couple's son, Izhan, was born in 2017.
While Mirza’s personal life continues to generate media attention, including rumours linking her to UAE-based business tycoon Adel Sajan, she has not confirmed the nature of their relationship. Reports suggest Sajan may have had a hand in designing her new home, though these claims remain unverified.
In addition to focusing on her personal life, Mirza remains active in the sports world through her tennis academies in Dubai and Hyderabad. She also works as a sports analyst and recently covered the 2025 Australian Open for Sony Sports Network. Despite retiring from professional tennis in 2023 after an illustrious career, Mirza continues to make her mark in the world of sports.
Meanwhile, Shoaib Malik marked his first anniversary with actor Sana Javed, sharing heartfelt messages and memories on social media. While the couple celebrated their anniversary with photos and reels, some fans couldn’t help but draw comparisons to Shoaib’s previous marriage with Mirza. Despite the criticism, the couple seemed undeterred, with both sharing their love and appreciation for each other online.
