Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Barrister Aqeel Malik welcomed on Saturday the recent verdict in the GHQ case, describing it as a "victory for justice".
Expressing his thoughts, Malik said: "The justice prevailed as the court addressed the matter thoroughly. The decision restored public confidence in the judicial process. The case remained pending for nearly one and a half years due to continuous delays."
He criticised the tactics employed to obstruct proceedings and expressed satisfaction over the resolution.
Recalling the events that transpired on May 9, Malik stated: "Those responsible for the chaos dishonoured the country."
Malik accused the opponents of using their workers as "tools" to further their agenda and condemned their actions, which, he claimed, crossed all limits.
He emphasised that the legal system fulfilled all requirements of justice and termed the court's verdict a positive step.
Malik underscored that the ruling demonstrated accountability and set a precedent for handling such incidents in the future.
