The Frontier Corps (FC) North, in collaboration with multiple law enforcement agencies, executed a comprehensive anti-smuggling operation that resulted in the interception of 21 vehicles transporting illicitly transported merchandise.
During the high-intensity operation, authorities seized a substantial quantity of contraband items, including battle nets, tires, cigarettes, and significant volumes of textile products. The intercepted goods were subsequently transferred to customs authorities for further processing and legal action.
The operation encountered resistance from smugglers, who attempted to obstruct the national highway and engaged in firearms confrontation with FC personnel. FC troops neutralized the threat and restored public access to the transportation route.
Preliminary investigations suggest the smuggling network was utilizing hidden transportation routes to move restricted and potentially taxable goods across regional boundaries. The strategic intervention disrupted a potentially sophisticated smuggling infrastructure.
FC Balochistan officials emphasized their ongoing commitment to combating illicit trade activities. "Our agencies remain perpetually prepared to counter such disruptive elements," a senior FC spokesperson stated, indicating continued vigilance against smuggling networks.
