A security forces official was martyred and 15 terrorists killed in an intelligence-based operation in the Sambaza area of Zhob district on Tuesday.
According to an official statement, the operation by security forces targeted a terrorist hideout, and during the intense exchange of fire, the troops effectively neutralised the threat. A significant cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives was also recovered from the slain terrorists.
However, 32-year-old Sepoy Arifur Rehman from Mansehra was martyred during the operation. His sacrifice is being hailed as a testament to the unwavering commitment of Pakistan’s security forces to root out terrorism.
Following the operation, a sanitization drive is underway to ensure the area is clear of any remaining threats.
In a statement, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reiterated the security forces’ resolve to eradicate terrorism from Pakistan.
"The sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our determination to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country,” the ISPR stated.
