The 2nd Commissioner Karachi Festival was set to begin on December 10, which would feature a variety of sports competitions aimed at promoting positive activities for the youth.
According to details, Commissioner Karachi stated: "The sports festival would provide opportunities for young people to engage in constructive activities."
Sindh’s Minister for Women Development, Shaheena Sher Ali, was scheduled to inaugurate the festival at Government Girls Degree College, Lines Area. A cultural show was also planned for the occasion.
Tug-of-war competitions would see participation from four teams each of boys and girls, while table tennis and badminton contests would take place between teams from government colleges, including Government National College and Government Girls Degree College.
Boxing events were to be held at Kakri Ground, wheelchair basketball at Aram Bagh, kabaddi at the Karachi Municipal Corporation Sports Complex on Kashmir Road, and rowing competitions at Karachi Board Club.
