The head of the Russian Republic of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, has expressed support for the Palestinians and called for a ceasefire and offered to send his troops to Palestine as part of a peacekeeping mission.
In a statement, Kadyrov appealed to the international community to "make a fair decision regarding Palestine at least once." He also urged the leaders of Muslim countries to form an alliance and call on all Western countries, including Europe, to stop bombing civilians under the pretext of destroying Israeli fighters.
Kadyrov said that he supports the actions of the Palestinians because Israel has occupied their land and is now constantly oppressing them. However, he said he is against the war and wants to see peace and an end to all tensions.
He added that if necessary, his military forces are ready to work as a peacekeeping force in Palestine.
The fierce clashes between the Palestinian resistance organization Hamas and Israel have entered the fourth day. Israel has tightened its blockade of Gaza and intensified its attacks.
Israel has hit over 200 targets in Gaza, including refugee camps. Ambulances and aid workers have also come under Israeli attack. The number of Palestinians martyred in Israeli attacks has reached 800, while more than 3,800 are injured.
Israel has also tightened the blockade of Gaza, cutting off the supply of water, electricity, food, and fuel, adding to the hardships of the already restricted Gaza residents.
Kadyrov's offer to send a peacekeeping force to Palestine is a significant development. It remains to be seen whether his offer will be accepted by the international community, but it is a sign that the Chechen leader is committed to supporting the Palestinians and helping to bring an end to the conflict.
