Four soldiers of the Pakistan Army embraced martyrdom in a fierce gun battle with terrorists in the general area of Karama, South Waziristan District, according to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The exchange of fire led to the deaths of five militants, thanks to the effective counteraction by Pakistan's security forces. However, the heavy firefight claimed the lives of four brave soldiers who fought gallantly during the operation.
The martyrs were identified as Naib Subedar Taib Shah (38 years, from District Tank), Lance Naik Gulab Zaman (30 years, from District Karak), Lance Naik Muzammil Mehmood (30 years, from District Karak), and Lance Naik Habibullah (28 years, from District Orakzai).
Following the operation, the security forces initiated a sanitization operation in the area to eliminate any remaining militants. The military emphasized its commitment to eradicate terrorism and further strengthen the resolve of the nation through the sacrifices of its soldiers.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi expressed his deep condolences to the families of the martyred soldiers, calling their sacrifice an invaluable contribution to the country's fight against terrorism. "Our martyrs are an asset to the country, and their bravery will never be forgotten," he said.
The minister reassured the nation of its steadfast support for the security forces in their ongoing battle against militants.
The Pakistan Army’s operation continues as forces work to clear the region of terrorism and maintain peace in the volatile area of South Waziristan.
