The motor mechanics in Dera Murad Jamali staged protest on Tuesday against the ‘behaviour of the assistant commissioner and tehsildar.
In connection with staging the protest, the motor mechanics had blocked the Sindh-Balochistan National Highway.
The mechanics asserted: ‘’The assistant commissioner and tehsildar had legally sealed our shops and subjected the motor mechanics to torture.’'
– Railway employees’ protest –
The railway employees today staged a protest for not getting their salaries paid.
The employees staged a protest outside the divisional superintendent's (DS) office in Lahore.
The protestors were of the view that some of the railway employees did not even receive their August and September salaries.
‘’We are getting our salaries after staging protests for many months. The employees are facing severe economic hardships for not getting their salaries paid in due time,’’ the employees stated.
The protestors maintained, ‘’If the salaries will not be paid on time, we will extend our protests’’.
– Not getting hitched –
On the other side, the 27-year-old man in Multan climbed up an electric pole in protest for not getting hitched.
Abdul Rehman urged his family to first bring the bride if they wanted him to end the protest.
He ended his protest after 30 minutes after getting assurance from the police and family about getting married.
After he came down, the police took him into custody.
