Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) senior leader Qamar Zaman Kaira said on Saturday that his party was playing an "active role" in Punjab and at the national level.
According to details, Kaira called on Punjab Governor Saleem Haider in Lahore. On this occasion, the Punjab governor stated: "The doors of the Governor House are open for all the political parties."
Moreover, both the leaders had also discussed the matters in line with their mutual interests.
Expressing his thoughts, Kaira said: "Today, the country is facing the challenges posed by terrorism. We condemn the terrorist attack, resulting in the loss of precious human lives."
"There are some of the politicians who have made non serious statements in line with the terrorism," said Kaira.
He underscored the situation of "unbridled" inflation in the country, saying, "Right now, inflation is one of the biggest challenges faced by the country. All the political parties are concerned about how to address the matters in line with the whooping inflation."
"The government is not having enough resources to provide the masses with the relief," Kaira added.
"It will be challenging for the government to provide relief to the people in the presence of the International Monetary Fund," he said.
Talking about the government's decision to shut down the utility stores, Kaira said: "I stand by the employees of the utility stores."
