Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) senior leader Palwasha Khan said on Tuesday that the dialogue could not succeed when the trust was absent.
Speaking exclusively on Samaa TV programme, "Nadeem Malik Live," Khan expressed concerns regarding the country's security and political landscape. "Terrorism and the situation in Afghanistan remain critical issues for us," she stated.
Khan criticised the government's handling of political pressure, claiming, "There appears to be no visible effort to reduce political tension in the country."
She also commented on the lack of trust between the government and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Meanwhile, PTI leader Humayun Mohmand, a PTI representative, highlighted grievances over the treatment of party members. "Our women and ailing individuals must be released on bail," he urged.
Refuting accusations about the PTI’s stance on an executive order, Mohmand clarified, "Yesterday, it was falsely claimed in our committee that the PTI chairman had rejected the executive order. This is untrue."
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Abid Sher Ali voiced scepticism over PTI’s commitments, accusing the party of inconsistent behaviour.
"We have reservations about PTI's promises as they frequently reverse their positions," Ali said.
He questioned the utility of in-camera discussions if details were later shared publicly.
Ali further asked the PTI to present written demands, saying, "The court has sought a response in the £190 million case, and it must be provided."
