Akmal Pervaiz - a Pakistani businessman based in Saudi Arabia - has credited the kingdom's e-governance model for his company's success, saying it has enabled him to grow his business rapidly and efficiently.
Mr Pervaiz, who started his own business after three years of employment in Saudi Arabia, now employs over 500 people and has secured contracts for major projects, including the construction of jet fuel storage terminals at eight airports across the kingdom.
He attributes his success to the ease of doing business in Saudi Arabia, made possible by the government's e-governance initiatives. "The system works fast due to e-governance in Saudi Arabia," he said in an interview.
Akmal Pervaiz's company has also ventured into other sectors, including packaging, hatcheries, and natural gas pipelines. He is currently working on a project in Neom city, a futuristic megacity being built in Saudi Arabia.
The entrepreneur, who hails from Pakistan, urged his compatriots to learn from Saudi Arabia's example and choose their political representatives wisely. "Corruption and political instability have destroyed our country," he said. "If we had better governance, we could also achieve rapid progress."
He remains committed to his roots, crediting his parents' prayers and Allah's grace for his success.
