Federal Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi commended United States President Donald Trump for emerging as a symbol of peace and hope for the world.
Naqvi made these remarks during his visit to the United States, where he engaged with members of Congress to discuss mutual interests.
“President Trump’s tenure has brought a new dimension to Pak-US relations,” said Naqvi. “His inaugural address has been encouraging, particularly concerning global peace and conflict resolution.”
During meetings with Congressmen Joe Wilson and Rob Bresnahan, Naqvi discussed enhancing bilateral ties, with a focus on sustainable peace in the region, particularly in Afghanistan.
Both sides emphasised the importance of cultural and trade exchanges between the two nations.
The minister assured complete cooperation at every level to strengthen Pak-US relations and extended invitations to Wilson and Bresnahan to visit Pakistan. Discussions also touched on measures to address the concerns of overseas Pakistanis and boost collaboration in various fields.
Pakistan’s Ambassador to the US, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, accompanied Naqvi during the engagements.
