Shahzaib expressed his gratitude for the support and recognition he received upon his arrival, and said he defeated his Indian rival on his own. He emphasized the significance of his victory in the Karate Combat League, highlighting that he led the Pakistani team and defeated India's superstar in the "biggest tournament in the world".
"I was training since Ramazan, and my opponent was being declared as the favourite in the fight." he remarked.
Despite his success and being lauded by Bollywood actor Salman Khan, Shahzaib lamented the lack of support from the government for athletes, stating that it was the reason the local youth lagged behind in sports. He thanked God for his victory and expressed his determination to continue striving for excellence in karate.

He further said that if he could get out of Balochistan and compete, young people could also work hard and get out themselves.
Shahzaib's father echoed similar sentiments, expressing disappointment in the government's lack of support for athletes. He emphasized the need for greater encouragement and support for youth in sports to enable them to excel on national and international platforms. "Outsiders are better than our government," he remarked.
The Balochistan sports director general congratulated Shahzaib, and pledged to support and encourage other talented youth in their sporting endeavours. He also recognized the importance of nurturing talent and promoting sports at the grassroots level.
