Ahead of the general elections in India, political parties are deprived of a level playing field due to the Modi government as the India Income Tax Department sent five income tax notices to the opposition party on March 29, 2024.

After the truth of the electoral bond scandal came to light, the Modi government started targeting the opposition parties to divert public attention.
