The parents of the late Punjabi singer Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, famously known as Sidhu Moosewala, are reportedly expecting a new member in their household soon, sources close to the family have confirmed.
Moosewala's mother, Charan Kaur, is currently pregnant and is expected to deliver the baby in the near future. Reportedly, his mother is 58 and father is 60.
Moosewala, who was tragically murdered in 2022 after an unsuccessful bid in the Punjab Assembly elections from Mansa on a Congress ticket, continues to be remembered by many. He was shot dead by assailants in his car in Jawaharke village of Mansa district. His murder on May 29 of that year resulted in the naming of 31 suspects in the case, including gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar, with 25 individuals arrested thus far.
Known for his immense popularity among the youth, Moosewala was renowned for writing and producing his own songs, amassing significant wealth in the process. Despite his untimely demise, his music continues to resonate with audiences, with several posthumous releases garnering millions of hits.
Being the sole child of his parents, now in their late fifties, Moosewala's family has kept a low profile since his passing. While no official statement has been issued regarding the impending arrival, family insiders have confirmed Charan Kaur's pregnancy and imminent delivery. Charan Kaur has remained out of the public eye for over six months.
Amidst speculation about Moosewala's father, Balkaur Singh, possibly entering politics and contesting the Bathinda Lok Sabha seat, he has remained noncommittal, asserting that his involvement would not bring about significant changes.
Notably, Charan Kaur has been vocal in her support for farmers' rights, actively participating in social media campaigns such as the 'Dilli Chalo' protest. She has also advocated for justice for Shubhkaran Singh, a farmer who lost his life at the Khanauri border. Charan Kaur's social media accounts have featured posts commemorating Sidhu Moosewala, Deep Sidhu, and Shubhkaran Singh.
As the Moosewala family prepares for the arrival of their newest member, they continue to navigate the aftermath of Moosewala's tragic death while actively engaging in social and political issues close to their hearts.
