Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Ata Tarar said on Friday that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had “tried” to derail democracy by resorting to the tactics of making the elections "controversial."
Addressing the news conference in Lahore, Tarar said: "The PTI had spent billions of rupees and formed one cell. They [PTI leaders] had given hundreds of Form 45 to the media."
The celebration is being made in KP, while after being defeated in Punjab and Sindh, the uproar is being caused by rigging in Punjab and Sindh.
"The efforts have been made to give the impression that Form 47 was not prepared from Form 45," Tarar said.
"We would uphold democracy and not let it derail," Tarar said.
He said: "Your lies have been proven true. I am hurling the allegations at the PTI-backed candidates, not PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari."
Tarar said: "Before the recent elections, how many times had Salman Akram Raja contested the polls? The media and social media obtained his Form 45, but not the ECP."
– PTI involved in cyber-terrorism –
Separately, PML-N leader Marriyum Aurangzeb claimed that PTI was involved in "cyber-terrorism."
Expressing her thoughts, Marriyum said: "The PTI had submitted the screenshots to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP). This cannot be the reality; our Form 45 is fake, and your [PTI] screenshots are original."
"Now these [PTI] people are urging the United States to come to their rescue. This is the group of terrorists. They are foreign agents." Aurangzeb said.
She maintained: "Whenever they commit any crime, then they put in all-out efforts to form the narrative.".
"We are also preparing the whitepaper, which will be revealed soon," the former federal information minister said.
