Amir Khan, the 36-year-old boxer, has confirmed that he has reconciled with his wife, Faryal Makhdoom, following recent reports of his explicit messaging with another woman.
Despite the allegations, their relationship remains strong, and Faryal has been encouraging him to return to the gym after his retirement from the boxing ring.
Speaking with Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary on “This Morning,” Amir Khan candidly admitted to his current fitness situation: “I'm not a spring chicken. I've not trained for two years.”
He humorously shared his wife's motivation: “My wife has started having a go at me, saying to get in the gym, saying you've started to get a dad's body.”
Amir expressed his own reluctance to return to the gym: “I used to see a gym and go in, but now I see a gym and walk past it.”
Their relationship faced a challenging period last month when a former BBC presenter accused Amir Khan of making unwelcome sexual advances toward her.
Suzi Mann, known for her role as a presenter on BBC Asian Network's Official Asian Music Chart Show, claimed that she received explicit messages from the boxer after they appeared together at an event in 2016, which she hosted in Manchester.
According to Mann, the messages involved "flirting" and "making sexual advances," and the situation escalated when Amir Khan started calling her and leaving voicemails.
As a single mother, Mann expressed her discomfort with his messages and maintained a professional stance, choosing not to engage in his inappropriate behaviour.
Despite this controversy, Amir Khan and his wife, Faryal Makhdoom, have worked through their issues and are focused on maintaining their relationship and his fitness.
