Police on Saturday decided to move the anti-terrorism court (ATC) against the ‘’wanted” candidates that were nominated in the May 9 vandalism.
The police will request that the ATC to reject the nomination papers of the candidates. The police said: “The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) had accepted the nomination papers of the wanted candidates, including Mian Aslam Iqbal, Ghulam Mohiyuddin, Hammad Azhar, and others.
The police said: “The accused had not presented before the court. We will move the court to halt the accused candidates to take part in the electoral process.”
"The PTI has also issued tickets to the accused. It is unlawful to see the participation of the accused, who are facing serious cases," maintained the police.
