Federal Privatisation Minister Abdul Aleem Khan on Wednesday encouraged the Uzbek investors to set up the display centres in Pakistan to bolster bilateral trade and cooperation.
During a meeting in Islamabad with Uzbekistan’s Ambassador, Alisher Takhliyev, Aleem Khan discussed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s upcoming visit to Uzbekistan scheduled for next month.
Aleem Khan highlighted the vast potential for mutual partnerships in various sectors between the two countries.
“The opportunities for collaboration across different sectors between Pakistan and Uzbekistan are immense,” Aleem Khan stated.
The Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) president underscored the importance of government-level visits in strengthening bilateral ties and creating avenues for shared growth.
The minister suggested that Uzbekistan should send its tourism companies to Pakistan to explore the country’s potential.
He also proposed on-arrival tourist visas for Pakistani travellers heading to Europe and the United States through Uzbekistan.
Ambassador Takhliyev expressed his country’s interest in expanding cooperation across various fields with Pakistan.
