The schedule for the upcoming ninth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) has been finalised, setting the stage for an exciting cricketing event.
PSL 9 is set to commence on February 17, featuring a total of 34 matches that will run through till March 17. The tournament will be divided into two phases, with matches scheduled to be held in Lahore and Multan for the first phase, while the second phase will take place in Karachi and Rawalpindi.
The tournament's inaugural match will witness a clash between Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United at Gaddafi Stadium. Notably, the event's pinnacle, the final match, is slated to be held in Karachi, promising an exhilarating conclusion.
Throughout the tournament, there are plans for 7 double-header matches. Among these, 6 league matches and one qualifier are scheduled during the day.
In terms of venue distribution, PSL 9 will feature three matches in Rawalpindi, 2 matches in Lahore, and 11 matches in Karachi. Additionally, there will be 9 matches each in Lahore and Rawalpindi and 5 matches in Multan, promising a diverse spread of cricketing action across different cities.
Teams participating in the Pakistan Super League are expected to start arriving from February 12, allowing for a four-day window dedicated to the official practice sessions. The anticipation is high as cricket enthusiasts eagerly await the thrilling contests set to unfold in this edition of PSL.
