A spokesperson emphasized the importance of setting up information centers in these areas to provide essential safety information to tourists.
The NDMA underscored the need for preparedness, timely alerts, and swift responses in collaboration with local representatives in areas prone to weather-related risks.
To enhance safety measures, individuals planning trips to hilly regions are urged to stay informed about routes and prevailing weather conditions. The NDMA spokesperson emphasized the significance of public awareness to ensure a cautious approach during winter travels.
