Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) leader and Lahore division president Murad Raas said that dozens of people from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will join his party in the coming days.
Talking on Red Line with Talat Hussain, he said that more than 100 people will join IPP on weekend.
He said that he communicated to the party leadership to ensure that people from the Union Councils (UCs) level join the party.
He contended that a political party grows not when people who have remained lawmakers join it, but when workers from the grassroots become part of it.
Stressing on its importance, the IPP leader said that he had more than 100 coordinators in just one provincial assembly constituency when he was in PTI. These are the people who are going to do electioneering for you, he said.
Half of his team members from PTI have joined IPP, while the remaining will join soon, Murad Raas said, and added that activities of IPP will increase significantly in the coming days.
He added that all IPP's election office in Lahore will be the hub of all political activities.
IPP leader said that his party is developing its organizational structure in Lahore while the people who are to contest general elections already have their teams which are active.
IPP leaders said that PTI will face organizational problems in the upcoming general elections because a lot of their workers from Lahore were joining IPP.
