Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari on Tuesday extended his condolences to Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) Convener Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui over the death of his mother.
In a telephonic conversation, Zardari said, "Losing a mother is one of the most devastating events in one's life. May Allah elevate his ranks in Jannah.”
Earlier on Monday, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui's mother had passed away in Karachi.
Meanwhile, party's stalwart Haider Abbas Rizvi in a statement expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui's mother.
He extended condolences to the bereaved family.

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman and former president Asif Ali Zardari said that the country is moving towards free and fair transparent elections and PPP is fully prepared for contesting general elections.
Zardari expressed confidence in the Election Commission of Pakistan's (ECP) ability to hold elections.
“PPP has the ability to fight elections in all kinds of environments,” Asif Zardari said, adding that, the PPP will emerge as the majority party of the country on February 8.
“The environment of the country is favorable for elections at the moment,” Asif Zardari said. The former president reiterated that elections should be held on time.
PPP bigwigs have launched a series of remarks against the PMLN's performance in the 16-month stint of the PDM government.
