The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) summoned former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry on November 13, alleging his involvement in the Jhelum-Pind Dadan Khan dual carriageway project.
The accountability watchdog stated on Friday, "The allegations of irregularities surround Fawad Chaudhry in the Jhelum-Pind Dadan Khan project." NAB had previously accused Fawad Chaudhry of unlawfully benefiting from the contractors.
"Fawad Chaudhry and his family are implicated in the acquisition of land on the dual carriageway," said the NAB.
According to the NAB, the land purchase has resulted in financial losses to the national treasury. Fawad Chaudhry has been called to appear before the NAB on November 13 to provide his statement.
Fawad Chaudhry had been instructed to appear before the NAB on Monday at 10 am.

Earlier, Fawad Chaudhry had been arrested, as claimed by those close to him.
Fawad’s wife Hiba posted on her X account that her husband had been arrested and taken to an unidentified location.
The former minister’s brother and lawyer Faisal Chaudhry also posted on his account that Fawad had been “abducted” from his house in Islamabad while having breakfast by some “uniformed and plain clothes personnel”.
