As per the record, one person each from Jamshoro, Kemari, Korangi, Malir, Gharbi and East districts has died, while two deaths have been reported in South district of Karachi.
Earlier, a 45-year-old man suffering from the brain-eating amoeba, naegleria, died in Karachi.
This year so far, eight deaths have been reported from naegleria in Sindh. The latest victim has been identified as Adnan Tariq, 45, a resident of North Karachi. Out of the eight people who died of the disease this year, five belonged to Karachi, and one each to Hyderabad, Mirpur Khas, and Quetta.
The Sindh Anti-Naegleria Committee could not be formed even this year.
