A video is doing rounds on social media depicting a police raid at Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) University, occurring just two days after caretaker prime minister Anwarul Haq Kakar where students grilled him with tough questions.
The video has drawn considerable attention, with many individuals expressing concerns about the circumstances surrounding the police presence at the university.
A student inquired about the reason of Kakar’s visit to the institution. The caretaker Premier received criticism from another student for arriving late. Kakar arrived at the meeting spot half an hour after the scheduled start time.

Nonetheless, Kakar didn't seem to be phased by the challenging queries posed by the pupils. Videos of his visit at LUMS are becoming viral on various social media platforms, and X (formerly Twitter) is trending about it.

A social media user who shared it on her X handle wrote, “The Punjab government should refrain from taking any action against students of #LUMS. They have every right to freedom of speech and expression. Asking questions isn't a crime. Youth are the pillars of society, the backbone of the nation and the hope of the future.”

In response to the viral video, IG Punjab Usman Anwar rejected the reports that the police raided the LUMS University.
The Punjab Police chief stated that the videos making rounds on social media purporting to show a raid on the varsity are “fake,” and claimed that no official received any such instructions. It was an attempt, he said, to discredit the prime minister’s visit to the institution.

Usman Anwar went on to say that the footage of police vans used in the fake video was a normal movement of the police far away from the varsity.
“Neither police raided the LUMS University, not it has any such plans,” he said and added action will be taken against those involved in making this video.
