Two police officers were martyred in a terrorist attack in the Khairu Khel area of Lakki Marwat. The officers were on their way to perform duty on a motorcycle when they were ambushed.
According to a police spokesperson, the martyred officers, Hikmatullah of Pizzo Police Station and Khan Bahadur of Shahbaz Khel Police Station, were assigned to postal duty. They were targeted by terrorists who were lying in wait, attacking them as they traveled to their respective stations.
The assailants managed to escape from the scene. The bodies of the martyred officers have been shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital. Police have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to apprehend the attackers.
