The cast of Squid Game has finally responded to growing speculation about BTS member V joining the hit Netflix series for its third and final season.
During an interview with BuzzFeed UK, actors Lee Jung-Jae (Seong Gi-Hun, aka Player 456) and Wi Ha-Joon (Hwang Jun-Ho) were asked about the ongoing rumours of V’s casting. However, both stars chose to remain tight-lipped.
"I can't say anything about that," Jung-Jae responded when questioned about the K-pop idol’s involvement. Ha-Joon echoed his co-star’s sentiment, adding a simple "No comment."
While no official confirmation has been made, fans continue to speculate about V’s possible role in the series. Social media has been abuzz with theories, with one fan exclaiming, "The way he reacted, I think V is gonna be insane in Season 3, lol!" Another excitedly predicted, "Oh my God! Is Tae’s ultimate villain role dream about to come true?!"
Notably, these rumours surfaced just days after reports suggesting that Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio might also be involved in Squid Game Season 3.
With BTS V’s well-documented love for the series, fans are eager to see if he will make an appearance in the final season of Netflix’s global phenomenon.
