Mandi Bahauddin police arrested an Indian citizen for residing in Pakistan without legal documentation.
Badal Singh's arrest took place in the Mong area of the Saddar police jurisdiction during a targeted police action.
According to the police, Singh was unable to provide a visa or residence permit required to legally stay in Pakistan, and was arrested over lack of legal documents. During investigations, the suspect revealed that he hails from Nagla Khatkari district in Aligarh, India.
A first information report (FIR) was lodged against Singh under the Foreigners Act for his illegal stay. Following his arrest, he was presented in court, which ordered a 14-day judicial remand. Singh has been sent to jail as investigations continue.
