The Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) has commenced oil and gas production at the Kunnar West Well-3 in Hyderabad District, Sindh. This development marks a significant milestone in bolstering Pakistan’s energy sector and ensuring a stable supply of hydrocarbons.
According to OGDCL, the well is producing 3.5 million cubic feet of gas, 30 barrels of condensate, and 3.8 metric tons of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) daily. With a wellhead flowing pressure of 1,200 PSI, the operation underscores advancements in energy production technology and infrastructure.
The extracted gas has been seamlessly integrated into the Sui Southern Gas Company’s distribution network, enhancing the region’s gas supply chain. This achievement aligns with Pakistan’s broader energy goals, contributing to a reliable supply for industries and households alike.
OGDCL, which manages exploration and production across 40% of Pakistan’s territory, continues to expand its operational footprint. The success of Kunnar West Well-3 reflects the company’s strategic approach to meeting the nation’s growing energy demands.
The Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) has played a pivotal role in fostering such advancements in the energy sector. By promoting policies that attract investments and streamline operations, SIFC has opened new opportunities for economic growth and corporate success in Pakistan.
