Speaker of the National Assembly, Ayaz Sadiq, has expressed his gratitude towards Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for forming a committee to initiate talks with the opposition.
Sadiq welcomed the Prime Minister’s initiative, stressing the importance of resolving issues through dialogue and cooperation.
In a statement, Speaker Sadiq remarked, "The Prime Minister's decision to facilitate talks is highly commendable. It is a positive step toward resolving the ongoing political issues in good faith." He emphasized that both the government and opposition should engage in meaningful conversations to find solutions to current challenges.
Sadiq also reiterated his commitment to facilitating dialogue, stating that the doors of his office are always open for members of the Assembly. "We can only move forward as a nation through talks and mutual understanding," he added.
To further advance the dialogue, the Speaker has invited the members of both committees to meet tomorrow (Monday) at 11:30 am in his chamber at Parliament House. This meeting is expected to take the process of negotiations forward in a productive manne.
