Around 14 more accused have been indicted in the GHQ attack case on charges related to the May 9, 2023 incidents.
Those indicted include Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, PTI leaders Shibli Faraz, former foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, former minister Shehryar Afridi, and Kanwal Shozab.
Other individuals, including Shabbir Awan, Latasab Satti, Umar Tanveer Butt, Taimur Masood Malik, Saad Ali Khan, Sikander Zeb, Fahad Masood, Zohaib Afridi, and Raja Nasir Mahfooz, were also named in the indictment.
The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Rawalpindi has now indicted a total of 113 accused in the case. All those charged have denied the allegations, and the hearing has been adjourned until December 21.
During the proceedings, KP Chief Minister Gandapur appointed Ghulam Hasnain Sumbal as his pleader for this case and 11 others linked to the May 9 events.

The court also heard an initial plea submitted by PTI founder Imran Khan, requesting dismissal of charges due to insufficient evidence. The petition will be heard tomorrow in the ATC.
On Dec 5, PTI Founder Imran Khan and around 60 PTI leaders were indicted in the GHQ Rawalpindi gate attack case. Awami Muslim League founder Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, Sheikh Rashid Shafiq, Raja Basharat, and Zartaj Gul were also indicted.
National Assembly opposition leader Omar Ayub was also indicted in the case.
Former Punjab law minister Raja Basharat, Omar Ayub, and Ahmed Chattha were arrested outside Adiala Jail and shifted to the Police post. A day later, Omar Ayub and Raja Basharat as well as others, were granted bail.

The court expressed strong displeasure over the arrests, questioning why the accused were detained despite being granted bail by the Peshawar High Court earlier.
On Dec 16, the ATC indicted nine additional accused in the GHQ attack case, including Shah Mahmood Qureshi and former federal minister Dr Shireen Mazari. ATC Judge Amjad Ali Shah conducted the hearing at Adiala Jail, where strict security measures were in place. The accused pleaded not guilty and denied the charges.
The individuals indicted in this case include Raja Rashid Hafeez, Muneer, Khadim Hussain Khokhar, Zakirullah, Azimullah, Tahir Sadiq, Mehr Muhammad Javed, and Chaudhry Asif. Prosecutors contended that the accused were complicit in the violent attack on the military installation following the arrest of PTI Chairman Imran Khan earlier this year.
