Lahore police have partially restored traffic on key routes, including GT Road and Niazi Chowk, following strong disruptions placed across the city to quell the PTI protests.
Authorities have removed trucks parked at Niazi Chowk from one side, allowing the flow of local transport.
Similarly, traffic on Batti Chowk has also been partially restored, easing movement for commuters. Police confirmed that the routes, including the GT Road Lahore, have been reopened for traffic, and citizens can now travel to their destinations without hindrance.
They said efforts are underway to remove containers parked along GT Road.

In Lahore, all entry and exit routes to the city were blocked using containers. Police checkpoints were established across the city, with various units, including the anti-riot force, deployed on the inner and outer routes to maintain law and order.
Police said Niazi Shaheed Chowk, Shahdara Chowk, Begum Kot, Saggian at its entry and exit points, Imamia Colony railway crossing, and the old Ravi bridge were sealed off from both sides with containers. Lahore Ring Road and its Eastern Bypass were entirely closed, while all motorways leading out of Lahore were blocked.
The administration also suspended electricity in Niazi Chowk and surrounding areas as a precautionary measure.
