The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has extended its congratulations to Donald Trump after he claimed victory over Democratic candidate Kamala Harris in the 2024 US presidential election.
Trump, projected by the US media to have secured 277 electoral votes, celebrated his win in Palm Beach, Florida, while garnering global attention.
The PTI, through its official X handle, congratulated Trump and vice president-elect JD Vance on their victory. "The people spoke and their mandate has been respected - a stark contrast to Pakistan, where the public mandate was blatantly stolen," the party stated.

Former president Arif Alvi wrote a congratulatory letter to Trump, which he said was a continuation of a previous letter of July condemning the assassination attempt on the president-elect. "Free & fair, unrigged elections have allowed the expression of the will & hope of the citizens of America to make their dreams come true through your leadership (sic)," the letter stated.
He said that the PTI looked forward to continued cooperation as democratic nations. "Indeed, your victory must have sent shivers down the spine of dictators and aspiring dictators of the world," he added.
