Four foreign militants were killed during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) conducted by the security forces in the Sarwakai area of South Waziristan on Saturday.
According to a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation targeted a reported presence of militants known as khwarij. Early in the morning, troops engaged the militants’ location effectively, resulting in the elimination of four operatives.
The ISPR stated, "Sanitisation operation is being carried out to eliminate any other Kharji found in the area as the security forces are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country."
This operation came amid a surge in terrorist activities in various regions of Pakistan, prompting security forces to intensify their counterterrorism operations.

Eight militants were also reported killed in that operation.
